Jean has been the minister of music since September 2001.
A native of North Brunswick, Jean is a graduate of New Brunswick High School and earned her B.A. in Music Education from Wagner College, Staten Island, N.Y. She earned graduate credits in music and music education from Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey, and the University of Hartford, West Hartford, Connecticut
During her college years Jean first worked as the organist-choir director for a small Presbyterian church on Staten Island then became coordinator of music education for six Moravian churches, also on Staten Island. She has served at several Episcopal churches, a Baptist church and a Presbyterian church in central New Jersey during her career. In her church work Jean has served as organist, choir director for children’s and adult choirs, men’s choirs and handbell choirs.
As a music teacher for the Edison public schools, she taught elementary school music which included directing several choral ensembles, organizing programs to be performed by the students for the students, and teaching general music to grades one through six. During her tenure in the Edison public schools, Jean attended law school at Seton Hall University, became an attorney and practiced law in Hudson and Middlesex counties. She currently works full-time as full professor and assistant chair of the Department of Accounting and Legal Studies at Middlesex County College, Edison, New Jersey.
Jean is currently a member of the Bar, State of New Jersey, and various professional associations including American Guild of Organists, American Guild of English Handbell Ringers, and Choristers Guild. She has been published in “The American Organist,” as well as "The Journal of Paralegal Education and Practice" published by American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE).
Jean is also a founder and the directress of Saint Paul Seven, a unique a cappella ensemble, and co-producer of the group’s CD, “Saint Paul Seven – Select.”
